GAS COOLERS AND EXCHANGERS
Gas coolers are placed in the process train to exchange or remove heat to either an incoming gas stream or outgoing gas stream.Gas coolers and exchangers are placed in the process train upstream of a unit that is temperature sensitive to the incoming gas stream, such as a gas dehydrator like the coolest temperature possible and no greater temp above 120F.Gas coolers are also called Coolers, Gas to Gas heat exchangers, force draft coolers.Cooling the gas stream after compression or prior to a dehy greatly reduces the load on the dehy's chemical system and the same can be said for many other oil and gas processing equipment.
