Liquid Processing
LINE HEATERS

A Line Heater is a high pressure coil that rests inside a liquid media bath over a heat source that warms the process stream typically during a pressure drop. The Line heater is normally after the Sand separator, or if no sand separator is present then it is the first vessel placed after the wellhead and is typically rated over the wellhead shut in pressure. Line heaters are also known as indirect heaters and coiled heaters.Line heaters pre-warm the incoming process stream prior to the pressure drop and also warm the process stream after the pressure drop preventing the formation of ice. The pressure drop is a control point reduce the operating pressure across the downstream equipment that can be managed. For additional heat in a process stream you can implement a choke-less heater which does not have a choke.
