Sour Gas Processing
Amine Plants extract H2S and CO2 from a gas stream by contacting a regenerative chemical with the gas stream known as Amines.Amine plants are placed after 2ph separation with a coalescer prior to the Amine Contactor, and an Afterscrubber or Coalescer downstream of the Amine plant as it is normal to treat H2S upstream of Gas Dehydration. Also know as Amine Units, H2S plants, there is another unit called a Glymine which treats H2S and dehydrates the gas stream. The chemical is regenerative therefore is does not require a shutdown and replacement cycle like the solid media H2S units. Also it does not require a constant refill of chemical like the H2S Liquid Scavenger units.
